- It depends entirely on the roof. On a sound assembly with surface-level aging and no failed details, a suitable treatment or coating can be a reasonable way to buy time. On a roof with a failed membrane, wet insulation, bad flashings, or a compromised deck, it covers the problem rather than fixing it. The condition assessment is the whole answer.
- Is a coating cheaper than replacing a flat roof?
