Roof Repair Consulting

Repair, restore, or replace? Get an honest answer before you spend.

A roofer who only sells full replacements will usually recommend a full replacement. Frankly looks at the same roof and tells you what an honest repair would actually require — and what it should cost.

Who this is for

  • Homeowners with a stubborn or recurring roof leak
  • Owners told they need a full replacement when a repair might do
  • Anyone with two repair quotes that don't agree on the problem
  • Long-time owners trying to extend a roof's remaining life

Problems it solves

  • Leaks that keep returning after multiple "fixes"
  • Repair quotes that vary by thousands of dollars for the same area
  • Pressure to replace a roof that may still have years left
  • Unclear cause: flashing, underlayment, ventilation, or something else?

What you get

  • A neutral diagnosis of the likely leak source or repair need
  • A clear repair-vs-replace recommendation backed by reasoning
  • Benchmark pricing for the proposed repair scope
  • A read on prior repair attempts and whether they were appropriate
  • Specific questions to ask the next roofer who walks the roof
  • Documentation you can keep with your home records

How it works

A clear, written process.

  1. 01

    Describe the problem

Send photos of the affected area inside and out, any past invoices, and a short description of when the issue started.

  2. 02

    We evaluate independently

Working from photos, drone imagery, or an on-site visit, we narrow down likely causes and review any repair quotes you've received.

  3. 03

    You get a written plan

A clear summary of the most likely root cause, a reasonable repair scope, and a price range for the work.

Frequently asked

Can you diagnose a leak from photos alone?
Often, yes — many residential roof leaks have a short list of likely causes. When photos aren't enough, we'll say so and recommend a site visit.
Will you recommend a contractor?
We don't maintain a referral list, because we don't take referral fees. We can tell you what to look for and what questions to ask when you interview repair contractors.
What if the repair turns into a replacement?
If our review shows the roof truly needs replacement, we'll say so plainly — and the same independent process applies.
Do you serve my area?
We work with homeowners across Southern California, including Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, and Ventura counties.
